4th Annual Kneads Day - August 22, 2010
Special thanks to Jeff and Kathy Hodge for volunteering to attend this fundraising event in Charlotte, NC for Charlotte Mecklenberg Animal Control. Animal Kneads Day is their largest annual fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting their Free Public Spay & Neuter Fund. Hank (greyhound) and Maggie (Shar-pei) got lots of attention from the shelter‘s visitors.
d'Art Center, Norfolk, VA - August 7, 2010
We enjoyed the afternoon with other folks who brought their pets for the d'ART Center's Pet Parade and Pet trick contest. Ronnie got to meet lots of the event visitors and had an enjoyable afternoon.
Fuddruckers - June 28-July 4, 2010
We participated in a fundraiser with Fuddruckers and brought a few Pei out to help to raise awareness of Shar-pei in need of rehoming. Summer, Ronnie, and Sophia enjoyed a private hamburger made especially for them by the lunch staff at Fuddruckers on Friday afternoon.
Hogs for Dogs - June 19, 2010
We were at the Father‘s Day Bike Show & Hogs for Dogs at Bayside Harley-Davison in Portsmouth. It was pretty hot, but we still had lots of people interested in our Pei. Sophia and Ronnie had a great day!
K-9 Karnival - May 15, 2010
Thanks to Colleen and Brittany for helping out at the K-9 Karnival. Ronnie and Sophia were there to meet and greet our visitors. We also had a special visit from Krinkles (adopted 2009).
Rally to Rescue Save A Life Adopt-a-thon
May 1-2, 2010
This was a huge two day event at Care-A-Lot Pet Supply in Virginia Beach in memory of Tracey. Multiple rescue organizations and Dock Dogs participated. Sophia made her debut on the first day, and we had a cute spotted visitor who took refuge in our tent too!

Cause for Paws - April 17, 2010
We had lots of fun in olde town Portsmouth at the Portsmouth Humane Society‘s “Cause for Paws” dog walk & animal friendly festival. Lea and Brutus got lots of attention from all of the visitors!
Paws for a Cause - April 9-10, 2010
We were in Albany, New York, for the Paws for a Cause event on April 9-10. Mobile Wellness Massage Therapy provided chair massages to event attendees (human :-)), and all of the proceeds were donated to Shar-Pei Rescue!
