We need your help!
We have some major veterinary expenses for some of the Rescue Pei-bies. These expenses
are well beyond what we can cover with our general fundraisers and adoption fees. We need
to raise $6,600 to cover these upcoming veterinary expenses and continue to be able to help other dogs.
Mousse was rescued from a Virginia shelter in 2014. She is a lovely girl who enjoys being petted
and is so hoping for the day when she has a “furever” family. She was heartworm positive when
rescued. Her heartworm treatment is complete, and she is heartworm free. However, she has had
chronic, severe ear infections. Her ear canals are almost completely ossified shut, and she is having
tremendous drainage and infection that is now resistant to almost all antibiotics. Her veterinarian has
recommended a bilateral total ear canal ablation along with a bulla osteotomy
(where they clean the infection out of the bulla in the inner ear).
Gabby (aka Abby) came to us with severe entropion, dental issues, and skin and ear issues. She is a
charming, sweet young girl. She has already had entropion surgery and dental work. Similar to
Mousse, her ear issues have persisted through various treatments and specialists have recommended
the bilateral total ear canal ablation for Gabby. Her ears are painful causing her to shy away when
her head is touched. Gabby has a family planning to
adopt her, but she needs the ear surgery to resolve the chronic ear infections before she can be
adopted.
Elsa was rescued from a Pennsylvania shelter. She came to the shelter as an emaciated stray covered
with wounds, some severe. She also has hookworms, is heartworm positive, has severe entropion
and needs to be spayed. She is thriving in her foster home. Her wounds were sutured, and she
recently had her stitches and sutures removed. Her hookworms are being treated, and she is gaining
weight. When she is healthy, she will be treated for the heartworms, then will have spay and
entropion surgery. It will be a long recovery for Elsa, but we can already see that she loves being
treated like a princess! Her veterinary expenses have been $500 to date.
We need approximately $6,600 to complete the veterinary care for these three girls.
Please consider donating to our fundraiser to provide Mousse, Gabby, and
Elsa with the veterinary care they need to make them healthy and adoptable. We have had
several dogs with very high veterinary expenses recently. This is on top of the ongoing
expenses for spay/neuter, entropion, vaccinations, etc. for the other dogs in our care. We need to raise this
additional money to be able to continue to take dogs into the rescue.
Any amount is greatly appreciated.
